Our programmes

Solar in the hands of the people who need it.

Three programmes — for women, for children, for rural communities. Each one pairs equipment with the training to keep it running long after we have left.

For women

RenewHER

Women run most of the households we work in, and they carry the cost of having no power — kerosene, candles, charging fees, hours lost walking to find a socket. RenewHER puts solar equipment directly in their hands and pairs it with sustainability and financial-literacy training, so what they receive becomes something they can build on rather than a one-off gift.

For children

Ray of Hope

A solar school bag charges on the walk to school and gives a child light to work by at night. We distribute the bags, fit schools with solar systems, and run STEM sessions that show children how the technology on their backs actually works — with particular attention to getting girls into that room.

For young people aged 15–24

Vocational Training

Nigeria’s solar industry is growing fast and needs local hands. We take renewable‑energy training into secondary schools and community sites, carrying portable solar kits so young people can learn on real equipment — and see clean energy as a career they could actually enter.

Every programme runs on the same two things — equipment and the training to use it. Both cost money, and both change what a household can do after dark.
