Our RenewHER Program starts by providing small solar systems to women, including older women and widows, in rural and underserved areas. These solar systems offer clean and reliable energy, reducing household expenses by eliminating the need for costly and hazardous fuels like kerosene. This initiative not only improves quality of life but also empowers women to become local solar technicians through our maintenance and repair training programs.
Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Education
We provide training that integrates basic education on sustainable energy, teaching women how to effectively use and maintain solar systems. Additionally, our program includes climate change education, empowering women to understand the broader environmental context and advocate for sustainable practices within their communities.
Financial Literacy Program
We empower women with essential financial literacy skills. As part of this initiative, we have developed a budget book available in both English and Yoruba. Recognizing the importance of tracking expenses, our budget book helps women effectively manage their spending habits. By integrating financial literacy into our program, we aim to enhance the long-term sustainability and economic empowerment of the women we support.
