About Us

Who We Are

The Solardẹrọ Foundation was founded by Sayedẹrọ Enitan, a renewable energy engineer with over a decade of experience. The name “Solardẹrọ” combines “Solar” with “Dẹrọ” from Sayedẹrọ’s name, meaning “to make life easy.” We believe that solar energy can transform lives, particularly in underserved communities, and we are dedicated to bringing this renewable energy to those who need it most.

As a faith-driven organization, we draw inspiration from Matthew 5:14, which says, “You are the light of the world.” This verse encapsulates our mission to serve as a beacon of light, bringing hope and illumination to those in need.

What We Do

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people in rural and underserved communities through innovative solar energy solutions. We focus on providing access to solar-powered tools that support education, safety, and financial empowerment.

Here’s a brief overview of our key programs:

  • Ray of Hope: Designed for children in rural areas, this program provides solar-powered school bags to help them study after dark and educational resources on solar energy through animated videos.

  • Renew Her: This program supports widows by offering solar lights, reducing their dependence on costly kerosene and disposable batteries, and providing basic solar energy education.

Why We Do It

At the heart of Solardẹrọ is a belief in the power of sustainable solutions to alleviate daily burdens. In many rural communities, limited access to electricity hinders opportunities for education, financial stability, and personal safety. By providing affordable solar solutions, we aim to bring hope, light, and opportunity to these areas.

How You Can Help

Currently self-funded, we are seeking partners to help us expand our reach and impact. If you are a company or individual interested in supporting our mission, we welcome donations of solar systems, educational tools, or funding. By partnering with us, you can ensure these life-changing resources reach the communities that need them most.
